| Skype video calls require that she type (or click on) the person's skype id. While you could buy an ASUS Skype Video Phone Touch SV1TS by Asus ($250) which is very easy to use. A less expensive solution would be to get an old XP computer from the local thrift store (about $50), add a web cam and headset to it, and set it up to run w/o a password on boot, and to start up skype on boot. | Does anyone have an aiptek DV digital camera? I bought an 8 mega pixel digital camera from Aiptek. When I tried uploading everything on my computer from the disk it gave me, it all seemed to work fine at first. Now it's the next day, and I can't watch any of my videos unless I watch them directly from Muvee, the program it came with. But I'd rather be able to open my videos and watch them through Windows Media instead, and yet every time I click on my videos to watch them a window pops up saying, "An audio codec is needed to play this file. To determine if this codec is downloadable from the Web, click Web Help." Well I've done that a few times, and it always says the server is busy. I also think it's a rip off that I can't watch my videos with programs that have already been on my computer for free, and that I have to use THEIR program instead. Plus, their muvee thing says I can only use 3 videos and/or 3 pics at a time to make an actual muvee, unless I actually buy yet another program from them. Has anyone had these problems, and if so can you help me with this? So far aiptek and muvee have been horrible and I would never buy anything from them again, unless all this works out, in which I will be grateful but still upset that their equpiment is so difficult to figure out, and no, I'm not an old granny or anything, I'm frikin 20! Bah, please help! |

| Help with reversing crochet patterns? Hello, I just started to learn how to crochet two days ago, and I've been practicing my stitches since then, but I'm having a problem with finding good (and free) patterns for left-handed crocheters. Every time I click on a link that might be promising it always ends up in disappointment. It's always things like '...if you're a lefty just reverse the patterns...' or '...yeah we know it's a bit tricky, but...but...KEEP PRACTICING! yay!' Finding links on how to work the basic stitches is easy, but I want patterns....any help on how I can reverse the pattern instructions, since that seems to be the only option I have? There's plenty of videos on youtube but I don't want to just work on granny squares, baby booties, and strange looking hats...know what I mean? I've been searching pretty much all day on a nice and easy tote bag pattern but nothing comes up :( |
| I have a left handed friend and she just follows the pattern as written, but is working from left to right. You don't need a special pattern just practice. My left handed students do the same. |
